Get some of your facts right regarding Alex Kidd (LOTS of errors here), and MAYBE **ONE** of the SMS games of his was unplayable; all are great games.

Furthermore, Headdy is a Treasure creation, not Sega. Yeah they were affiliated, but they were never a part of the same company, at all.

The answer is YES DEFINITELY and also No not really. heh.

The latest installment of Mass Effect is designed to get you into the game right off the bat even if you’ve never picked up an earlier Mass Effect title.

On the other hand – having played the earlier titles you can export your character and ALL of the impact your gameplay has had on this massive Mass Effect universe from game 1 to game 2 and through to game 3.

So you can literally progress your character all the way through the story line essentially crafting the entire story to your personal experience. Including the loyalty of your team mates, physical characteristics, weapon and special combat abilities and any of the relationships you’ve cultivated or broken – all go to enrich and personalize the experience.

Although I haven’t gotten into the current Mass Effects, I’ve heard they are really good games and this one is looking sick. My only question here is do you guys think I would need to play the past games to get into this one and understand the story-line?

I only just recently played & completed Mass Effect 2, so it’s still really fresh in my mind. The characters and story were very engaging – so I’m really looking forward to MA3.

Looking forward to all of those – pretty equally. I dig the premier video for Dead Island, really well done, but in the end I prolly won’t like the game all that much heh. Not a big fan of horror movies, games etc.

Skyrim has a TON of potential, but could be a big disappointment too – we’ll have to see on that one.

Battlefield 3 is looking INSANELY good – can’t WAIT to get my hands on that – pre-order already secured Modern Warfare 3 just because we’re all already so invested in the series, might as well see what this iteration brings us.

Deus Ex is on my list just because I played the originals and LOVED them – nostalgia kicking into overdrive!

Jordan is our resident Sony fanboi and he’s amped to get his hands on a Vita, I have no doubt he’ll be one of the sorry lot standing in line all day for a crack at them when they hit store shelves

Graphics, story line and game play look simply amazing. When we getting together to play? heh

I find myself saying this a lot lately, but gaming is constantly changing and I feel for the better! Even though i’m not too keen on the “hey, let’s play wii and move around, swing, sweat, jump up and down and all that fun stuff”‘ kinda thing but either way, the technology is genius.

Thanks for putting this together @AzAkers – really useful having one central location for EVERYTHING when you have little time to dive-in and find all this stuff yourself.

Honestly, they had to. With iPhone, Droids, iPads, etc. taking gaming to a completely different level than ever before, the traditional handheld console had to revamped to give it a leg-up on all this competition.

So, do you guys think this will really take off or do you feel a lot of people have already transitioned to their smartphone for their “handheld” gaming device?

Just seems like I see less and less people, even kids, carrying the traditional handheld device anymore.

I looked for VII but @GameStop says they have a hard time keeping it in stock – still a crowd favorite

I know I’m an old fashioned fuddy duddy – but I really wish these games had a filter for language – not a fan of some of the seedier verbiage.

I know, I know – there’s a tremendous amount of gratuitous violence too but … that doesn’t bother me half as much as the frequent F-bombs. Of course I’m sure there’s a pretty strong argument for it’s realism and being true to real life battle scenarios. meh.

Anyways – looking like its going to be a great game!
